Department of Geography

Introduction

   The Department of Geography was established in the year 2001 (since the inception of College). Department is full-fledged actively engaged in teaching and research activities in order to cater the needs of today’s changing world. The department has all modern equipment including GPS and other practical facilities, infrastructure, and a spacious laboratory that are required for teaching, learning. Department has qualified and experienced staff. The faculty of the department is engaged in teaching, research and extension activities. The department has been organizing various academic activities regularly.


 Aims & Objectives
  • To invoke the geographical interest among the students.
  • To avail the qualitative education in Geography at UG level in rural areas.
  • To ensure the overall personality development of students through extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
  • To organize various extension activities for cultivation of human values and environmental awareness.
  • To transfer the knowledge and skills for fulfilment of the changing needs of society in the process of modernization.
